Native American Medicine Wheel

So I got another tattoo. I got a Native American Medicine Wheel on my right wrist.

It couldn't have been a better time for me to get it. I don't think I can forget that day....

The morning was going well. I woke up, got ready, and left to pick up my friend for class. I was so happy because I was going to get my tattoo done. I don't know why, but I woke up thinking that I shouldn't have gone to class. I had a feeling inside of me that said "Something will happen that involves your car." I thought I was going to get in a car accident so I drove very cautiously. Luckily, I didn't. After my class, my day would go downhill....

I had to jump into the right lane because I feared I was going to hit the car in front because I was tailgating him/her. That was the safe thing to do. As I jump lanes, sure enough I see flashing lights and sirens. So I had to pull my car over and talk to Mr.Sheriff because I was "speeding." Can't argue with cops, right?

My friend had to drive for me because my nerves were shot. After so much going on in my life, that was surely the cherry to my day.

I was hesitant about getting my tattoo after that scene. But I ended up getting it. I knew that I wouldn't do it if I waited. It honestly made me feel a lot better when my session was done.

Knowing that I have this constant reminder to never give up will make me stronger day by day.

If you're wondering what a Native American Medicine Wheel is, let me explain briefly....

A  Native American Medicine Wheel is a circle that represents the four directions. Each direction has a powerful representation. North represents our Elders and the color is white; East represents the future and the color is yellow; South represents the present and the color is black; West represents the past and the color is red.

Right now I am in a new chapter of my life and finding out new lessons each day. I am constantly receiving teachings and am blessed with them. This Medicine Wheel is going to symbolize my past teachings, my present teachings, and my future teachings. These teachings will be passed on to future generations to keep our culture stronger.

XOXO,
Lou

Rainy Day!!!

Rain Rain Rain!!!!!

Oh how calming and soothing the rain is today. I personally love it. Nothing beats laying down all day in your pajamas under your blankets....

Too bad I'm doing homework. LOL.

Oh the life of college students  =P

It's still nice to atleast hear it. Instead of stressing over my homework I'm just breezing through it. Just like the wind outside! HAHA!!!

There's something about rain that can instantaneously calm someone of their worries.

All this rain makes me want to go outside. If I do, I might use this photo I found from polyvore as inspiration:

She looks so fierce and ready to face any drop coming her way. Who says you can't be stylish in a storm?

I love her color combo. The warm tones mixed with the neutrals. And the hairstyle is amazingly amazing! Perfect for rainy weather. You wouldnt have to worry about your hair frizzing up or getting poofy or, in my case, both. Haha!!

Well time to ge back to homework!! Yay!!

Rainy day yours,
Lou Anne

I Finally Have My Tattoo!!

So I finally did it. I got my tattoo back in August and I am in love with it.

Although it's simple, its very meaningful to me.

Getting a personal tattoo can be the best thing to have. It gives you a daily reminder of who you are and not to forget to be yourself and stand your grounds.

I love my tattoo. And I know i will never regret it. People look at it and ask why did i get a bear paw print. I always tell them that its very meaningful to me because of my Native American culture.

The real meaning:  It all has to do with my culture. Bear is my animal/medicine. No I dont take a pill of bear supplements each day.  =P

Bears hibernate and is in a constant dream state. So in my culture, Bear means someone who takes their time and receives visions and messages in dream state. They are also very strong and independent. And is also very nurturing and protective.

Anyone who is really close to me knows that all that I said applies to me. Yes I do receive vision/messages while sleeping. I'm very protective over my friends and family. And I am very nurturing. I am very strong and independent. And the most important thing, they all know I take my time with things (especially when i eat. i;m always the last one done.... typically. lol.) Although I do not like lines or waiting at all  =P

Hoping to get more tattoos  <3

Love,
Lou Anne

Crazeee Color

I love how people express themselves through their hair.
Putting different shades and colors is very unique.
Even though everybody dyes their hair a solid blue, green, pink, etc, it still makes them different and unique.
Hair color looks different on everyone.

Yes it can damage your hair, but its still beautiful.
My favorite hair colors are the soft colors. (Lavender, cotton candy pink, baby blue)
They are very girly and just plain cute.

I much prefer lavender and if I decide to dye my hair a fun color it would be lavender with pinks thrown in.

What are your thoughts?

Tattoo Beauty

It's a controversial topic...

Tattoos!!!

Some Love. Some Hate.

I personally love them. I don't have any yet but I def will soon. ;-)

The idea of putting art on your body is wonderful. You can put precious art on your skin and take it everywhere with you.

Although tats have their pros, they also have their cons. Like it decreases your likeliness of getting a job. That's probably the biggest factor why most are anti-tats. If you're scared of getting a tattoo because of this reason, then either get one thats small and easy to hide. (The back is a popular spot.) Or wait until you're positive about it.....

I for one would not mind having one if they're visible. As it is, I want atleast three. =)

Not a lot of people look at the thought side of the tattoo. People get them to express something meaningful to them. I will have to say that some people get them for pointless reasons. I have to admit that I did want two pointless tattoos but then I realize that I would probably hate them after a few years.  And I would hate to erase someone's precious artwork.

I'm very artistic, so the idea of having a precious piece of art with me everywhere is mind-blowing. =) In a few months I'll have my first one. And when I get one I will put pics up of it. I might even make a LouCouture tattoo documentary about my journey of my tattoo. LOL.

Until next time!!!

Huge Love From Yours Truly,

Lou Anne

Is it ever gunna end?!

Hey everyone, it's Zak.
Lou Anne's computer is having issues, soo, I'll be the one to post something this week.

Lou Anne, Celest and I all started school last Tuesday.
YAY for SENIOR YEAR!!
But so far, it's taking FOREVERR.
It's only the second week of school and it feels like we've been there for like five months already.

Honestly, I can't wait until graduation.
It just seems so far away.
Of course, I think I'll be that kid that trips and falls on his face while walking across the stage.
You can even ask Lou Anne and Celest.
They would probably be the ones to make me fall by throwing grapes at me.
huh...go figure.

Now, with all of the school nonsense going on, we won't be able to post/make any videos for YouTube anytime soon. But, now we're in the process of planning another video. We're not quite sure when we'll make it but we're definitely planning one.

Well I guess that's all for now.
It's 6:00 and I need to do my hair.
lol
Just getting ready for another day at school.
"A place where the ever depleting minds of witless teenagers is brutally attempted to be revived by hopeless, underpaid educators."
XD

Talk to y'all later.

Have an amazingly amazing day!! :)
